2025/26 Evaluation Camp For All 2014, 2015, and 2016 Birth Years

For All 2014, 2015, and 2016 Birth Years

We’re bringing together all players born in 2014, 2015, and 2016 for a special Evaluation Camp this May to help guide their next step in soccer.   Whether your child has played Rec, Academy, Apex — or is brand new to the game — we want them at this event.  Our goal is to see every player on the field and talk with families about the options available for the next fall season. We now offer multiple program paths, and they look a little different depending on your child’s birth year.

2014 Players – Expanded Options

Many 2014s have already been involved in Apex or Rec.   Apex will continue to be offered for players seeking a competitive environment with travel and tournament play.  Apex is a one-year commitment.

New this year: We’re launching a formal U12 Recreational program, open to 2014 and 2015 players for the first time.

  • Designed to offer local or near-local game play
  • May include travel to nearby clubs like Ponca City or Enid
  • Helps us keep kids playing at a level and schedule that works for each family

2015 Players – Two Clear Paths

2015s may have experience in Rec or Academy.  Specifically for the 2015 group, there are two program options when fall rolls around:

  1. Apex (Competitive Travel)
  • Tryout-based and more competitive
  • Multiple practices per week
  • Regular travel for league games and tournaments
  • Full-season commitment (one-year commitment)
  1. Recreational Soccer
  • Fun, semi-local, and low-pressure
  • Now officially extended to include U12 players (2015s and 2014s).
  • Fall and Spring seasons

2016 Players – Two Clear Paths

Most 2016 kids have been playing Recreational soccer, and that continues to be available with both Fall and Spring Rec seasons.

New for this group in Fall: We’re offering a tryout-based Academy program for kids ready for more structure and challenge (2016s only).

  • Academy includes focused, structured training
  • Games are played against teams from other cities
  • Players participate in friendlies and tournaments
  • It is a one-year commitment

Or, families can choose to continue in the traditional Rec program if that’s the best fit.

Why We’re Holding This Camp

We’re asking all 2014, 2015, and 2016 players to attend this Evaluation Camp — regardless of the program they’re considering — because:

  • It gives our coaches more time to evaluate players
  • It gives us a chance to talk with families about their goals
  • It helps us shape teams, schedules, and experiences for the fall
  • Some leagues and tournaments require us to finalize rosters before August

What to Expect at Camp

Players will rotate through a variety of soccer drills run by Apex coaches, participate in small-sided scrimmages, and be mixed in with different groups throughout the session so coaches can get a broad look at how they play and interact.

Are these tryouts?  What about APEX tryouts?

There will be separate official tryout dates in addition to this Evaluation Camp.  This camp is an important lead-up to tryouts, especially for players who are newer to our Apex coaching staff. It helps us get early eyes on players and begin the evaluation process in a lower-pressure environment.  That said, any player planning to participate in Apex or Academy — which is open to 2015s and older — should also plan to attend official Apex tryouts.  Those dates are tentatively set for May 19 & May 20.   Exact times and details will be shared soon.

Key Details

  • Evaluation Camp Nights: Monday, May 5 & Monday, May 12 from 6:15 PM – 7:45 PM
  • Official Tryout Dates for APEX and Academy: May 19th and 20th.  Times are TBD.
  • What to Wear: Please have your player wear a light-colored t-shirt (white, gray, etc.). It’s okay if it has a logo or design — we just need it to be clearly light in color so we can easily differentiate from the pinnies we provide, which may be red, yellow, or blue.
