Recreational Soccer

Join us at the SSC Recreational Soccer Program, a cornerstone of the Stillwater Soccer Club. Our mission is to ignite a passion for soccer among our young players. The program is designed with a focus on engaging participation, fostering player development, building friendships, and ensuring a fun-filled soccer experience. Our approach is centered around providing an inclusive environment where every player, regardless of their skill level, gets a chance to shine.

At SSC, we believe in the importance of personal attention and learning. Thus, we keep our team sizes small, ensuring that each child gets ample playing time and opportunities to improve their skills. Our objective is not just to teach soccer but to instill a lifelong love for the game and the values it teaches, which resonate beyond the soccer field.

Your registration fee contributes to essential aspects of the overall SSC program. This includes individual player insurance, maintenance of our facilities (goalposts, field lines, lawn care, nets, corner flags), and referees for designated age groups. Additionally, these fees help support the passionate and dedicated staff behind the SSC Recreational Program.

We would like to inform you of a $15 cancellation fee applicable for withdrawals before the registration deadline. This fee is to offset online transaction charges incurred per player registration.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds once the season has commenced. Refund requests, to be initiated by a parent or guardian, should be directed to our office at StillwaterSoccerClub@gmail.com before the stipulated deadline.

U10 (BORN IN 2015 or 2016)

U10 players will play 7v7 soccer (6v6 plus goalkeepers). The registration fee is $80 / player. There will be approximately 9 practices and 6 games. The ball is Size 4.  Practices and games are held at either Babcock Park or the Stillwater Medical Foundation fields on 12th street (1201 S Adams St, Stillwater, OK 74074).

If you volunteer to coach and attend our One Hour Coaching Clinic your child’s registration will be FREE!!!  In addition, we require a background check and safe sport course completion in order to coach.  Once these are completed, one of your child’s registrations’ fees will be refunded.

U8 (BORN IN 2017 or 2018)

U8 players will play 4v4. Each team will be placed in groups of 6-8. The registration fee is $75 / player. There will be approximately 7 practices and 6 games. The ball is Size 3. All practices and games are held at the Stillwater Medical Foundation fields on 12th street (1201 S Adams St, Stillwater, OK 74074)

U6 players will play 3v3 and boys and girls are mixed together on teams. Each team will be placed in groups of 6-8. The registration fee is $70 / player. There will be approximately 7 practices and 6 games. The ball is Size 3. All practices and games are held at the Stillwater Medical Foundation fields on 12th street (1201 S. Adams St, Stillwater, OK 74074).

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What special equipment does my child need?
   Your child should have soccer cleats, shin guards and the appropriate size soccer ball.
2. Can I choose a specific team or buddy? 
   We do not take individual requests for team assignments.  All practices and games for a respective age group are at the same time in the same complex.
3. How are teams formed and balanced out?
   We try to make teams as even as possible by taking into account birth year, years of experience, and any prior knowledge we may have of a particular player.
4. How do we communicate with our coach or know the schedule?
   Each coach chooses their preferred communication medium.  The club suggests GroupMe, GameChanger, text, or email messaging.   The schedule will be posted on the Stillwater Soccer Club website once it’s available.
5. Where are practices and games held?
   All practices and games for U6 and U8 will be held at the Stillwater Medical Soccer Complex (1201 S Adams St, Stillwater, OK 74074) .  U10 recreational games and practice may be held at both the Stillwater Medical Foundation as well as Babcock Park.
