VOLUNTEERS

At Stillwater Soccer Club, our community is the heartbeat of everything we do. As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of registration fees, corporate sponsorships, and most importantly, the dedication of volunteers. Our volunteers are essential in providing the best experiences and opportunities for our young athletes. By contributing your time and resources, you play a crucial role in nurturing the potential of each player and sustaining the vibrant spirit of our club. Please consider joining our team of passionate volunteers and help us continue to make a difference in the lives of our kids.

Volunteer position: U6 / U8 / U10 programming (one per age group)

We are seeking dedicated volunteers to each take ownership of one specific age group within our U6, U8 and U10 programs. A total of three volunteers (one per age group) are needed to ensure a smooth and successful soccer experience for our young players and their families, with each volunteer focusing on a single age group.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assigning players to teams within their specific age group to foster balanced and competitive play.
  • Managing game times and schedules for their age group, ensuring timely communication to participants.
  • Overseeing field assignments for their age group, monitoring conditions, and ensuring proper setup for games.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for all communication from the club to the parents of players in their age group, addressing any queries or concerns they may have.
  • Resolving any conflicts that may arise during the season in a manner that reflects the club’s values and policies.
  • Regularly inspecting the playing fields to ensure they are in good condition and reporting any issues to the maintenance team (note: maintenance tasks such as mowing, painting fields, and checking nets and goals are handled by others).
  • Ensuring student helpers set up and tear down portable goals for U6 and U8 sessions. In cases where student helpers are unexpectedly absent, the volunteer may need to manage this task themselves.
  • Upholding and enforcing club policies to maintain the standards and integrity of the program.
  • Being present at all Tuesday and Thursday sessions for their age group to address any immediate issues or answer parent inquiries.

Additional Responsibilities for U10 Volunteer:

Actively promoting the club’s “Academy” and “APEX” programs to inform players and parents about the progression opportunities available beyond U10. The U10 volunteer will regularly discuss these advanced programs, helping families understand the pathways for continued development and competitive play.
