Traveling Rec
U11 and older (Born 2014 and earlier)
Recreational soccer is open to players aged 11 and above, with teams formed based on age groups. All skill levels are welcome.
If your player is interested in continuing their soccer journey but isn’t ready for the commitment of competitive soccer, recreational soccer is an excellent option. This less competitive environment focuses on fun and provides an opportunity for anyone to play the game. Both the financial and time commitments are reduced compared to competitive soccer. Training typically occurs once or twice a week, with games scheduled for weekends, usually on Saturdays.
Traveling recreational soccer can serve as a bridge between recreational soccer and competitive soccer for older players. There are distinct Fall and Spring seasons.
Team formation depends entirely on the number of players registered in each age group. If insufficient players sign up, we cannot form a team, and you will receive a full refund of your registration fee. So, spread the word and invite your friends to play to ensure team formation!
New to the Fall 2024 season – SSC Traveling Rec teams will have a paid coach rather than a volunteer. Practice dates and times will be determined by this coach.
Our first league choice will be the Oklahoma Recreational League (ORL) program. The schedule will be set by the league with some games being HOME games and others being AWAY in locations like Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Enid, etc.
Financials
Your registration fee contributes to essential aspects of the overall SSC program. This includes individual coaches stipends, player insurance, uniforms, maintenance of our facilities (goalposts, field lines, lawn care, nets, corner flags), and referees.
The total fee for this program is currently under discussion and will be announced the week of July 29th.
