Traveling Rec (Fall 2025)
U12 Travel Rec (Born in 2014 or 2015)
Recreational soccer is open to players aged 11 and above, with teams formed based on age groups. All skill levels are welcome.
If your player is interested in continuing their soccer journey but isn’t ready for the commitment of competitive soccer, recreational soccer is an excellent option. This less competitive environment focuses on fun and provides an opportunity for anyone to play the game. Both the financial and time commitments are reduced compared to competitive soccer. Training typically occurs once or twice a week, with games scheduled for weekends, usually on Saturdays.
Traveling recreational soccer can serve as a bridge between recreational soccer and competitive soccer for older players. There are distinct Fall and Spring seasons.
Team formation depends entirely on the number of players registered in each age group. If insufficient players sign up, we cannot form a team, and you will receive a full refund of your registration fee. So, spread the word and invite your friends to play to ensure team formation!
SSC Traveling Rec teams will have a paid coach rather than a volunteer. Practice dates and times will be determined by this coach.
Game locations will be based on the league we participate in but you should expect weekend travel to a neighboring city (Edmond, Sand Springs, etc)
Financials
Initial registration is $95 a player. Once teams have been formed an additional balance of $150 will be charged to you. This can be paid in installments of $50 for 3 months or all at once.
If there aren’t enough players to form teams, you will be reimbursed your registration fee and not charged the additional amount.
Your registration fee contributes to essential aspects of the overall SSC program. This includes individual coaches stipends, player insurance, uniforms, maintenance of our facilities (goalposts, field lines, lawn care, nets, corner flags), and referees.

Clarifying the Purpose of Traveling Rec
Travel Rec is designed specifically for players who are at a recreational skill level but want to play in a travel league. These teams typically train once or twice a week, compete in travel rec leagues like ORL, and may attend tournaments that are appropriate for rec-level play.
To protect the integrity of this program and ensure competitive teams register properly, Travel Rec must participate in a recognized travel rec league season and should only enter tournaments suited for recreational-level teams.”
Travel Rec is not intended for competitive-level teams seeking to avoid league requirements or fees. If a team is made up of players with higher-level skill, consistently seeking strong opponents, and competing in competitive tournaments, it should be registered under the Competitive program.
